The site proposed was way too small for a municipal swimming pool which Gothenburg needs based on the population living in the proximity and the massive future housing developments. As we challenged the development plan this scheme did not develop.
Gothenburg 2020 River City
The Gothenburg municipal government has a long term development strategy that is about urban sustainability and regeneration with a focus on the river and its edges as the city industry has moved out and the city as it grows and evolves also needs to continually requalify and integrate old industrial sites for new future demands. Two proposals were developed for an urban design development plan.
